Obituary for Roberto Pena Pena
Roberto Pena Pena was born in Mascota, Jalisco, Mexico on February 17, 1944. On September 9, 1967 at the age of 23 he married Guadalupe (Robles) and this September would have completed 50 years of marriage. They moved to Wasco in 1980 and shortly after he began working in the agriculture business as a laborer. During his years as a laborer he worked for Sill Properties in Shafter for a number of years. During his down time he enjoyed gardening and had an impressive amount of fruits and vegetables.… He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild whom he loved very much. Roberto is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Pena; his children, Maria and her husband Luis Rodriguez, Martha and her husband Efrain Gomez, Roberto Pena Jr. and his wife Heather, and Tony Pena; his grandchildren, Erika and husband Sean, Alex, Christian, Jessica, Nickolas, Lukas and Benjamin and one great grandchild Isabella; 2 brothers and 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Pena; a son, Marcos Pena; and 2 brothers.
A viewing was held at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter on February 2, 2017 from 2-8pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30pm. Funeral services were held on Friday 3, 2017 at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wasco. Online guestbook available at www.GoldenValleyMemorialCare.com
Roberto Peña Peña nació en Mascota, Jalisco, México el 17 de febrero de 1944. El 09 de septiembre de 1967 a la edad de 23 años se casó con Guadalupe (Robles) y este mes de septiembre se hubiera completado 50 años de matrimonio. Se trasladaron a Wasco en 1980 y poco después comenzó a trabajar en el negocio de la agricultura como un trabajador. Durante sus años como trabajador trabajó para Sill Properties en Shafter por varios años. Durante su tiempo de inactividad disfrutó la jardinería y tenía una impresionante cantidad de frutas y verduras. Disfrutaba pasar el tiempo con sus nietos y bisnieta que amaba mucho.
Roberto es sobrevivido por su esposa, Guadalupe Peña; sus hijos, María y su esposo Luis Rodríguez, Martha y su esposo Efrain Gomez, Roberto Peña Jr. y su esposa Heather y Tony Peña; sus nietos, Erika, Sean, Alex, Christian, Jessica, Nickolas, Lukas y Benjamin y una bisnieta Isabel; 2 hermanos y 2 hermanas y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas entre otros familiares.
Roberto es precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Manuel y Guadalupe Peña; un hijo, Marcos Peña; y 2 hermanos.
Una visión se llevó a cabo en la funeraria de Peters en Shafter 2 de febrero de 2017 de 2-8 pm con la recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6:30. Servicios funerarios se llevaron a cabo el viernes 3, 2017 a las 10:00 en St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wasco.
