Obituary for Gary Wayne Keillor
Gary Wayne Keillor was born in Hamilton Ontario, Canada on February 23, 1948 to parents Benjamin Keillor and Norma (Baxter) Keillor. He was a hard working man who knew how to fix anything. Some would describe him as a master machinist and avid model railroad builder. Gary accomplished a lot during his 68 years of life. He and his father were both pilots and built many planes together. He helped design one of the first mechanical grape harvesters on the west coast. Gary and his son Jason were… partners in Wasco Agro Services, which provides irrigation and canal maintenance service for local farmers. When Gary was not busy working, he loved helping his beloved wife, Pamela, with band and color guard activities for Shafter High School. Gary cherished the moments he spent with his five grandchildren attending all their games, school activities, and dance recitals. He coached and sponsored his son’s baseball teams as young children. Gary passed peacefully after a six year battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Pamela Keillor; sons, Jason Keillor and wife Telena Keillor, Kevin Keillor and wife Jennifer Keillor; five grandchildren: Kayden, Ava, Adison, Brynn, Gary; God-Daughter, Briana Kersten and many friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Norma Keillor. A graveside service will be officiated by Gary Ingle on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 4-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, California. Gary will be missed by family, friends, and business associates. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center who gave him excellent care.
