Veneranda Soto Torres was born in Viejo Chupicuaro, Mexico on October 25, 1937 to parents Jose Soto and Maria De Jesus Gonzalez. Veneranda married Alberto Jesus Torres and began raising 11 successful children. The family settled in Wasco, Ca. and quickly became a part of the community. Vene as she was called by many, was a loving person who loved every one that came into her life. She enjoyed traveling and sharing God’s love through prayer and scripture. Vene was devoted to her faith and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Veneranda was surrounded by her family when she met her Lord and Savior on May 16, 2020.
Veneranda is survived by her beloved husband, Alberto Jesus Torres; children, Maria Francisca Ordonez and her husband Andres, Jesus Torres and wife Yvonne, Veneranda Leal and husband Jesse, Cecilia Gonzalez and husband Luis Alfonso, Lidia Torres and husband Erasmo, Maria Del Rosario Gomez and husband Juan, Miguel S. Torres and wife Sonia, Jose S. Torres and wife Patricia, Maria Asuncion Gomez and husband Salvador, Adriana Torres- Mejia and husband Alfonso. 31 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Alberto Torres.
A graveside service will be officiated by Father Raul A. Sanchez Flores Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 from 6-9pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco.
Veneranda Soto Torres nació en Viejo Chupicuaro, México el 25 de octubre de 1937 a padres José Soto y María De Jesús González. Veneranda se casó con Alberto Jesús Torres y comenzó a criar a 11 hijos exitosos. La familia se estableció en Wasco, Ca. y rápidamente se convirtió en parte de la comunidad. Vene como fue llamada por muchos, era una persona amorosa que amaba a cada uno que entraba en su vida. Le gustaba viajar y compartir el amor de Dios a través de la oración y las Escrituras. Vene se dedicó a su fe y familia. Era una esposa amorosa, madre, abuela y bisabuela. Veneranda estaba rodeada por su familia cuando conoció a su Señor y Salvador el 16 de mayo de 2020.
Veneranda es sobrevivida por su amado esposo, Alberto Jesús Torres; hijos, María Francisca Ordóñez y su esposo Andrés, Jesús Torres y su esposa Yvonne, Veneranda Leal y su esposo Jesse, Cecilia González y su esposo Luis Alfonso, Lidia Torres y su esposo Erasmo, María Del Rosario Gómez y su esposo Juan, Miguel S. Torres y su esposa Sonia, José S. Torres y su esposa Patricia, María Asunción Gómez y su esposo Salvador, Adriana Torres- Mejía y su esposo Alfonso Mejía. 31 nietos y 4 bisnietos. Ella es precedida en la muerte por su hijo, Alberto Torres.
