Obituary for Earl Hosman

Earl Hosman 1931 – 2017
Earl Hosman was one of twin baby boys born on February 7, 1931 in Cardwell, Missouri to parents, Claude and Cora Hosman. The family lived in Cardwell until Earl was a teenager, and they moved to Wasco, California. Earl graduated from Wasco High and met his wife of 65 years, Pat (Tiner) Hosman. The couple were married June 7, 1952 at the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Wasco. Earl worked for over 25 years at the Safeway in Shafter, he later went on to drive… a bus for Semitropic and Lost Hills Schools for 20 years.
Earl was a social man, he always enjoyed a good conversation, and he spent quite a bit of his time talking with the locals, often speaking proudly of his grandkids. Earl was a Godly man, always active in church, he has been a long time attendee at Griffith Baptist in Wasco, and was a member of First Missionary Baptist in Oildale. He enjoyed spending time camping with his family on their yearly retreats to Yosemite. Earl was also fond of spending his time relaxing in his Z-bo (Gazebo) in the backyard, or hanging with his dog, Baby. He was also a member of the Freemasons.
Earl will be dearly missed, he is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, David Hosman and wife Cheryl, Steve Hosman and wife Becky, Tim Hosman and wife Carol; as well as 6 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Cora, and his step-mother, Geraldine; as well as his twin, Gerald Hosman; his sister, Edith Payne; and of course his dog, Baby.
