Obituary for Karina Ramirez
Karina was born on May 15, 1996 in Bakersfield, CA to parents Carlos and Lucia Ramirez. She entered eternal life on November 27, 2016 at the young age of 20. Karina is preceded in death by her grandfather, Maximiliano Lopez Santana and her grandmother Rosario Ruelas Lepe.
Karina’s life would seem short to many, but those who were around her understood she lived life to the fullest. Her contagious smile and laugh brought so much joy to her family and friends. She was always so positive… and selfless. Karina was truly a gem and a blessing to be around. She will be greatly missed.
Karina is survived by her parents, Carlos and Lucia Ramirez; grandparents, Alfredo Ramirez Ortega and Felipa Lepe Garibaldo; brothers, Carlos Ramirez and Eduardo Ramirez; sister, Denise Gutierrez; brother-in-law, Miguel Gutierrez; niece, Ariana Gutierrez; 31 aunts and uncles; 55 cousins.
Karina was raised in Wasco, Ca where she graduated Wasco High School in 2014. She was a very active member of the Wasco High community. She participated in sports such as soccer, cross-country and track. Karina was currently a junior at California State University, Bakersfield majoring in business administration with a concentration in accounting.
A viewing was held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 2-8pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 pm at the Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, Ca. A mass was officiated by Father Walter Colocho on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 8 am at St. Therese’s Church in Shafter, Ca followed by her burial at the Wasco Memorial Park in Wasco, Ca.
