Obituary
Guadalupe Quiroz Chavez was born in Apatzingan, Mich. MX., on March 17, 1947, to parents Miguel and Adela (Ayala) Quiroz. She began working at a young age to help her family. Guadalupe married Ventura Chavez at St. Francis Church in Huron, California on November 14, 1979. She also worked as a cashier for a few years, but she and Ventura had a growing family, her time was well spent caring for the children. They moved to Wasco in the early 1990's and the family continued to grow. Guadalupe was a very social woman, and enjoyed being around others, especially her kids and grandkids. She loved listening to music, mariachis and gospel were her favorites. Guadalupe loved to give big hugs, this will be truly missed by those she leaves behind. She was a generous woman, always giving, and she sacrificed a lot for her kids, always wanting the best for them. Guadalupe was a faithful wife, a great cook, and an all around content spirit. A true matriarch has been lost.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Nunez. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ventura Chavez; their children, Maria and husband Wim Roelandts, Robert Chavez and wife Andrea, Tony Chavez, Javier Chavez and wife Marilou, Jaime Chavez and wife Lucy; and a son-in-law, Bobby Nunez. Guadalupe is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Nunez, Matthew Chavez and wife Alma, Hailey and husband Justin Gaskins, Miranda Chavez, Nathan Chavez, Jaime Chavez Jr., Samantha Chavez, and Abel Chavez; along with great-grandchildren, Boston and Dominic.
Guadalupe passed away June 25, 2021 in Bakersfield, California. Pastor Johnny Martinez will officiate the services and burial will be held at Wasco Memorial Park.
