Obituary for Doris Evelyn Gaze
Doris Evelyn Gaze of Bakersfield, Ca., passed away January 31, 2018. Doris spent the last 6 weeks of her life in the hospital battling Valley Fever. Unfortunately God decided He needed her now more than we do.
Doris was born in Big Springs, Texas, on December 10, 1949 to parents Selma and Buford Cline. In 1952 her family moved to Wasco, Ca. where she and siblings grew up. After graduation Doris worked various types of jobs, sometimes 2 or 3 different jobs to support and raise her 3 children. Doris was always a caring mother and did whatever was needed to provide for her children. Doris loved her children and was very happy when she was given grandchildren. Doris would work all day and then come home and help take care of her grandchildren. After retiring from Grimmway farms Doris was able to enjoy her grandchildren and great grandchildren even more.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Selma Cline, father Buford Cline, and brother Roger Cline. Doris is survived by her sister, Carol Burns, daughters, Taisha Short and Cheron Patton, her son, Jerry Parker, 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
