Harold Curtis Carter, Curt, a builder since 1956, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, a man dedicated to the Lord, went to be with his Lord April 26, 2004. He built his business, Curt Carter Builder, to employ hundreds of area residents, even starting his own sons in the construction business.

Curts passion was the work and construction that he did in several area churches, particularly at Valley Baptist Church. He was in the process of finishing an educational building at Valley Baptist Church when the Lord called him home.

In his younger years his love of nature called him to hunting. He was an avid hunter, hunting game in many areas of North America. Curt was a community leader serving on the board of the North of the River Recreation & Parks District, the Cancer Society Board, and he supported Jack Frost football and baseball teams.

Curt was greatly loved by his family and is survived by his wife, Arleta; his sons, Gary, Ron, Tim and Curtis Jr.; his brothers, Jack, Bill and Mickey; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, his request is that you make donations to the Building Fund at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Ave., 93308.

A memorial celebration service will be held on Friday, April 30, 4:00 p.m., at Valley Baptist Church.
