Obituary for Orvilee Reaves

Orvilee Reaves was born in Porum, Oklahoma on May 26, 1931 to parents Pleas and Stella Reaves. He started working at a young age to help his family. Orvilee married the love of his life, Margaret (Ogborn) Reaves in Las Vegas on September 20, 1952. He then went right into the Army and served his country during the Korean War from 1952 1954. Upon returning home, Orvilee began his work in agriculture, spending most of his years with Ludy Brothers Farms and working in the local cotton gin co-op.… He was a social man who never met a stranger. Orvilee was always willing to help those who may need him, without asking anything in return. He enjoyed fishing and camping trips when he could go, and he especially looked forward to visiting his family and friends in Oklahoma. Orvilee was a true-blue Dodgers fan through and through; he also enjoyed listening to Country Gospel music and attending Sunday School classes. He was an affectionate man, and always showed lots of love to his pets. Orvilee will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Orvilee was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Reaves; his daughters, Kathy Lee and Diane Flemming; as well as his sons in law, Tony Flemming and Joe Beelner. He is survived by his children, Christine Beelner, and Bryan Reaves and wife Lupe; grandchildren, Shera and husband Tim Fagundes, Joe Lee, Bryan Reaves Jr., Brianne and husband Adrian Tait, Cassie and husband Mark Dunlap, and Lori and husband Bart Hight; great grandchildren, Joey Fagundes, Jacob Fagundes, Isaiah Lee, McKayla Tait, Buddy Tait, Andrew Dunlap and Caleb Dunlap; as well as his son in law Willard Lee and wife Mary; and close family friend, Tony Deas and wife Juvilian.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing people who helped care for Orvilee: the staff at Optimal Hospice and Loma Linda University Medical Center.
