Obituary for Caroline K. Dieter

Caroline Kay Dieter, age 72, died peacefully on September 4, 2017 after a brief struggle with cancer. Kay (as she was known to her family and friends) was born November 25, 1944, in Wasco, CA, the daughter of Lafayette Nixon and Josephine Cate.
In 1964, Kay married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life David Dieter. In addition to raising their three children she also was very active at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wasco where she was the Director of Religious Education… for several years. Kay was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Bakersfield at the time of her death. She was also the bookkeeper for Paul Farms and for Peterson’s Auto Supply for many years.
Kay is survived by her children, Jeff Dieter of Bakersfield (Denise), Julie Escalante of Castle Rock, CO (Greg); Danny Dieter of Wasco, (Monica),and her eight grandchildren – Trevor, Amanda, Shannon, Logan, Madilyn, Dylan, Mallorie and Abigail. Her sister, Rita Woolf, her brother, Jim Nixon and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband David Dieter.
