Obituary

Carmen Aguilera Sanchez was born on December 11, 1940 in Mexico to Guadalupe & Magdaleno Aguilera. She came to Wasco, California when she was nine years old. Carmen attend local schools and graduated from Wasco High. She was married to her husband Nico for many years and together they raised their children in Wasco. Carmen had so much faith in God, she was a devoted catholic who loved her community at St. John’s Catholic Church for many years. She worked in the roses for over 30 years. Carmen loved to cook for everyone, one of her favorite dishes was her potato salad. Carmen was so loving she always had a smile on her face. One of her favorite phrase was “Si Dios Quiere” (meaning: “If God is willing”). Carmen battled pancreatic cancer for the eight months, she was diagnosed in February 2019, and she passed away October 25, 2019 in Wasco, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe Flores & Magdaleno Aguilera; brother Nick Aguilera; husband Nicolas J. Sanchez Sr.; son Nicolas Sanchez Jr. and granddaughter Alyssa Nunez. Carmen is survived by her children Margaret Chavez, Ana Nunez, Jose Sanchez and Arturo Sanchez; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five sisters and four brothers.
