Alfredo Cachu Bravo was born in Santa Paula California to Miguel Bravo and Josefa (Cachu). Alfredo married his loving wife Jovita (Arteaga) Bravo in Tangancicuaro, Michoacan, Mexico on January 28, 1943 and he settled in Wasco with his family in 1969. Alfredo worked for 40 years for Jackson and Perkins as a mechanic; he was always staying busy working on his own cars and his family’s. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the movies. Alfredo Cachu Bravo is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jovita Bravo , son, Jose Bravo , brother, Francisco Bravo and his sister, Esperanza Oropeza . He is survived by his sons, Alfredo Bravo and wife Lucila, Jesse Bravo, and Albert Bravo and wife Lidia; daughters, Lydia Covarrubias, Dora Bravo and husband Nicolas Anaya, Elsa and husband Miguel Torres, and Rosalba Bravo and Amilcar Valdez; brothers, Gilberto Bravo and wife Consuelo, Ernesto Bravo and wife Hilda, 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 6pm at St. John’s Catholic Church for Alfredo Cachu Bravo, age 89, of Wasco, who passed away on April 29, 2011 in Delano. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10am at St. Johns Catholic Church. Father John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 2-5pm at Peters Funeral Home.
